In 2010 I relocated from Johannesburg to Berlin, and Dear Reader became my solo project. I recorded my sophomore album with Brent Knopf again at the helm - first with a cast of dear friends in Leipzig, and then with yet more friends in Brent's home town, Portland, OR.

We spent 2 months working constantly. The album became a dense collage of  pop songs clothed in ornate layers (beautiful, interesting, but heavy).  I decided to name each song after an animal that I felt represented it's spirit, mostly a bit of nonsense, because, why not.
